The Terra Nova Consort with Los Tiempos Pasados in Guanajuato Mexico, 1999
The Terra Nova Consort was founded in 1989, and brought to OSF as 'ensemble in residence' in 1990 under the direction of Pat O'Scannell. The group maintained its ensemble in residence status for 17 years. During its time at OSF :
* Winners of the Millennium of Music Award, program: 'Fauvel, King of Vice' heard out of Washington D.C.
* Winners in the 1999 EMA-Dorian Recording Contest, signing the band for a a recording contract with:
* Dorian Recordings Ltd., an audiophile and Canada's largest independent Classical label.
* Two recordings were made in the famous Troy Music Hall, in Troy New York, and released in 54 countries.
* Representation by 'Abbey Music Management' in Vermont, and national touring between 1999 and 2007.
* Collaboration with Mexican Early Music Ensemble: Los Tempos Pasados from 1999-2007. Concerts in Guanajuato, Mexico City, Ashland
Oregon and Medford Oregon.
* Collaboration with 'Dance Kaleidoscope' out of Indianapolis, Indiana. Performances in Indianapolis between 2000-2005.
* Featured groups and 'special discovery' of prestigious, by invitation only: Tage Alter Musik in Regensburg GE in 2000 and 2003.
